Hi Corey and the UKC family!
This is Carla. She is the newest member of the UKC family and she comes from France. She looks forward everyday to showing off her ukulele skills to the physicians and nurses at Institut Saint Pierre Kids Hospital in Palavas-les-Flot in the South of France.
Learning the ukulele has helped Carla cope during her hospitalization. She is so grateful for this gift!
During the past 2 months, I worked with Carla to learn and compose many songs together. We even created a rap with the ukulele! She loves to create and invent!

The ukulele has been something through which she can express herself, and has brought much laughter and smiles to Carla in her first few days of hospitalisation. It has also helped her father and her family get through the most difficult of times. For her father, the "ukulele is a super cute instrument, that is out of the ordinary, and it makes my daughter happy. She loves the ukulele! Thank you"
The Ukulele Kids Club harnesses the power of music to improve the well-being of children and families around the world. Through ukuleles and support of music therapy, we give the gift of music for life. Each ukulele is $50 US (which includes all shipping costs) so if you could ever spare some money or looking for a good cause to support, head on to the Ukulele Kids Club and please donate!
Thank you for all you do!
